Seems like the fish are in the middle of their fall transition period. With the water temperature dropping so rapidly a couple of weeks ago, the fish are scattered between shallow and deeper water. We should see the traditional fall pattern begin here in the next couple of weeks as the water temperature stabilizes. Managed to get a really nice smallmouth this afternoon on a shallow diving Rapala crankbait.
