Went out on the water this afternoon looking for some new spots. Fished the mid lake area today. Water temperature was near 50 degrees and water clarity was 7-8 feet. Threw a jerkbait and crankbait some. Had a nice largemouth on the jerkbait. Fish are definitely starting to move as the water hits 50 degrees. Winter pattern is transitioning into a prespawn pattern. Fish are moving out of the deep trees onto shallower gravel and chunk rock locations. Fishing should really pick up here in the next couple weeks!
