Heard we have some rain and cold headed our way this weekend, so I thought I would make the most of this afternoon. Headed out around three o'clock and right on cue a storm popped up - go figure. Caught a few fish before the rain and then spent the next hour running around the lake trying to stay dry. Once the storm passed, I got back to some of the spots I wanted to fish and got a few more before dark. Ended up with seven fish total - several of them were over three pounds including a VERY chunky spotted. Mostly smallmouth today with a few big spotted thrown in. Caught them all on a crankbait - alternated between a Storm Wiggle Wart and a Spro Rock Crawler 55. Wind and gravel/chunk rock were the keys to getting bit today.
